CVS / Aetna is seeking a Big Data Infrastructure Engineer to join a knowledgeable, highly-skilled and motivated team responsible for the delivery, support and maintenance of the CVS / Aetna Big Data Platform. This Big Data Platform is key to many of CVS / Aetna's strategic business initiatives and is vital to the core of the business. The candidate would be a part of the Big Data Engineering Team responsible for the systems architecture, design and development of a large, scaled-out, real-time, high performing, multi-tenant Hadoop Infrastructure, allowing CVS / Aetna to leverage data effectively for internal and external data ingestion, stream processing, advanced analysis and applications. The ideal candidate would have a passion for Big Data technologies and would be excited to join CVS / Aetna as it revolutionizes the way data stored, secured, shared and analyzed

Required Qualifications
8 years if IT related experience
3 years of experience in a 247 high-availability production environment
3 years of experience with administration of Hadoop (HDFS, YARN, Spark, Hive, HBase, Solr, Ranger)
3 years of experience building and managing distributed systems.
1 year of experience working with Cloud technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Infrastructure automation (Ansible, Salt and Puppet).
Knowledge of code source control like Git.
Experience with the following languages (Python, Java, Scala, etc) would be highly beneficial
Experience with Splunk or Elastic Search would be beneficial
Working knowledge of web technologies and protocols (NoSQL/JSON/REST/JMS).
Understands the concepts and technology ecosystem around both real-time and batch processing in Hadoop

Education
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or equivalent experience.
