SALARY RANGE:

MH Therapist II (Master's) - $22.52/hr - $27.02/hr

LCSW - $26.02/hr - $31.20/hr

LPC/LMFT - $25.13/hr - $30.13/hr

Spanish differential - $2.50/hr

POSITION SUMMARY: Actively support and coordinate Children and Youth Mental Health Treatment Act (CYMHTA) referrals, hospital discharge intakes and triage C&F Access incoming phone calls. Participate on a multi-disciplinary child and family team that provides comprehensive services for children, adolescents and their families. The approach of the team is characterized by being strengths-based, family-centered, culturally competent and community responsive.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Manage and triage C&F Access incoming phone calls.
2. Conduct face to face behavioral health assessments in the community or in the office for hospital discharge referrals to MHCD.
3. Collaborate with family, professionals and other external providers regarding hospital discharge intakes.
4. Conduct general intake assessments for Child and Family Outpatient services.
5. Provide a clinical assessment/intake for new CYMHTA referrals and follow State protocol.
6. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation consistent with agency standards.
7. Participate in team meetings, trainings and supervisory sessions as required.
8. Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: Masters Degree in psychology, social work, or other related human service degree. Licensure preferred (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist)

EXPERIENCE: At least two years of experience in mental health or human services field. Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency required

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Ability to join with and implement a strengths-based approach to children, families and adults. Knowledge of community and available resources. Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and psychotherapy. Bilingual English/Spanish highly required Flexibility. Self-directed individual, but team player. Knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed care principles/practices.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard office machines such as computers, fax machines, the telephone and other office and/or clinical equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Maintain flexible schedule. Frequent evening and weekend responsibilities.
