About the Donation and Family Advocate role:
Donor Network ofArizonas Tempe office is seeking an emotionally strong, mature, genuine,compassionate and mission driven individual to work with families at the timeof their loved ones death regarding end-of-life decisions for organ and tissuedonation. This Donation and Family Advocate must be able to walk intoextremely challenging and uncomfortable situations and be motivated toconfidently explore donation with families at their most devastating time ofloss. This work consists of helping families maketheir best decision about donation, based on their values and beliefs, in theirworst moment. Or when an individual has registered his or her decision tobe a donor, the Donation and Family Advocate helps the family to honor andsupport that decision to save lives and heal others.
Requirements:
Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish.
Experience in working with different cultures and diverse populations is necessary.
This is full-time on-call position with 24-hour shifts.
Minimum of Bachelors Degree and three years experience in counseling, crisis intervention, ministry, social work, death and dying education.
