HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Carters, Inc. is seeking an innovative and results-oriented Brand Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. This role will involve collaboration across various departments, including Design, Merchandising, Creative, and Go-To-Market, to develop brand strategies and campaigns that align with organizational objectives and resonate with our target audiences. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in executing awareness-driven campaigns across multiple marketing channels, possess strong creative thinking skills, and demonstrate a passion for brand storytelling.
This role typically reports into the Sr Manager, Brand Marketing, is based in our Buckhead office, and is on site 4 days a week.

30%: Growth Brands - Brand Marketing

  • Assist in planning and execution of new brand launches, ensuring successful market entry
  • Collaborate with consumer insights, merchandising, and design to identify unique brand positioning
  • Develop, distribute, and manage timelines incorporating deliverables spanning numerous teams

30%: Core Brands - Brand Marketing

  • Collaborate with eCommerce and Merchandising teams to execute growth strategies and innovation initiatives.
  • Communicate key product priorities to creative and channel teams.
  • Partner with creative and channel owners to implement go-to-market plans for new product launches.
  • Conduct comprehensive category analyses, including consumer, competitive, and financial assessments, to identify growth opportunities and formulate actionable plans.

25%: Brand Marketing Execution

  • Operationalize brand strategy across all consumer touchpoints, including email, SMS, and in-store signage.
  • Execute quarterly, seasonal, and annual brand campaigns to enhance brand health metrics, drive traffic, and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams to develop plans for testing and growth opportunities across the portfolio of brands.
  • Work closely with Social Media and PR teams to create campaigns and programs that enhance cultural relevance and extend brand reach.
  • Partner with the Consumer Insights team to test campaign concepts and creative treatments, using data to inform final strategies.

15%: Go-To Market

  • Manage the brand messaging calendar in conjunction with the Go-To-Market Marketing team to ensure that product and promotional plans align with broader brand narratives and enterprise schedules.
  • Collaborate with the Go-To-Market team to ensure brand consistency across all consumer touchpoints in promotional campaigns.

WED LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF:
Must have:

  • Deep understanding of brand marketing fundamentals (positioning, annual brand strategy and planning, campaign strategy and brief development, integrated campaign planning and execution)
  • Strong project management skills, with ability to consistently achieve or beat deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to turn consumer insights into brand actions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and brand development
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience
  • Strong bias for action and desire for ownership & accountability
  • Dialed into culture, consumer trends and the evolving marketing landscape
  • Inclination to seek and analyze data from a variety of sources to support decisions and to align others with the organization's overall strategy

Preferred skills and experience:

  • Experience in Brand Marketing or Brand Strategy at a major consumer brand a plus
  • Apparel, retail, QSR or CPG marketing experience strongly preferred
  • Experience executing breakthrough brand partnership programs
  • Experience working in fast-paced, matrixed environments where cross-functional collaboration and leading through influence are critical
  • Experience in fashion/apparel is a plus
