Job Description

The position requires the individual to apply braze alloy to parts with cracks or voids by using a syringe, to mix the braze alloy per the specification and perform inspection using a 10X magnifier to identify cracks prior to braze.

Braze Operator Duties:

  • Notching and routing of cracks
  • Visual inspection for cracks using a 10X magnifier
  • Mixing braze alloys with appropriate powders/liquids
  • Dry honing/ grit blasting in an enclosed booth wearing protection gloves
  • Apply braze alloys and stop off using a syringe
  • Perform general departmental housekeeping regularly
  • Sustain production standards and quality
  • Perform in-process visual inspections, dimensional inspections and cosmetic final clean up
  • Regular attendance and punctuality required
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
  • Ensure compliance with Company IPM/QPM and ISO quality requirements along with NADCAP
  • Documenting travelers accurately after operations are performed
  • Follow and utilize Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Maintain, implement and improve 5S principles
  • Adhere to and improve safety regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Moving parts & materials to next operation
  • Use hand tools to form the braze pre-forms

Resistance tack welding

Any additional duties, as assigned by Management

Qualifications
  • Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand work in-process documents
  • Manual dexterity
  • Good vision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Provides accurate feedback to the department supervisor pertaining to quality issues
  • Lean skills continually drives process improvements
  • Team building skills
  • Must be fluent in English, i.e. speaking, reading, writing
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Previous light/medium industrial experience
  • Basic computer knowledge
