Business Express Portfolio Manager

Job Description

The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing a group of business client relationships within Business Express. The position objective is to retain and grow existing business relationships, including loan, deposit and treasury management products. Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide client support for business loan and deposit customers. Provide service to clients with the objective of increasing client satisfaction measured by retaining and growing relationships. Complete 100% of client calls quarterly.
  • Administration of Velocity Loan and Business Express Loan Application (BELA) platforms, escalating platform issues to vendor and Director for resolution. Conduct required user acceptance testing on platform changes, administer credit policy and provide client and banker support with inquiries.
  • Research and resolve client issues adhering to both business loan and retail deposit policy. Process collateral advance requests, renewals, exceptions, past dues and overdrawn accounts, managing risk. Complete regulatory compliance inquiries and training by required deadlines.
  • Enhance existing business client relationships by demonstrating strong sales acumen through assessing needs, recommending products and complete product fulfillment for certain loan, deposits and treasury management products. Demonstrate ability to refer qualified opportunities to Business Relationship Managers, Treasury Management and Personal Banking. Achieve business sales goals. Increase business household cross sell.
  • The position will interface with various internal departments including Business Express Sales and Underwriting groups, Treasury Management Sales and Retail Banking.

Requirements

  • Position requires credit, deposit and treasury management product knowledge, the ability to assess client needs, communicate solutions and complete requests that enhance the client experience.
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent experience required.
    * Minimum three years experience related to bank deposit, credit and Treasury Management services, including exposure to direct sales, customer service support, and bank systems is preferred.
  • Advanced organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills are required.
  • Business credit experience preferred.
    * Strong personal computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are necessary.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. (see additional requirements below)
  • Detail oriented, ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and ability to work independently without supervision required.
  • This role interacts with clients and support partners 100% by phone and email.
