The Process Engineer will work with existing OnProcess teams to identify processes and/or functions eligible for improvement. The Process Engineer will then capture key steps, determine SLAs and business rules and build necessary documentation using a provided suite of tools. The Process Engineer will then work with cross functional stakeholders to deploy and measure these improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Research, design, and develop processes to optimize productivity and workflow
- Examine existing processes and suggest improvements
- Create and develop new procedures and processes
- Collect data for analysis to uncover areas for improvements and innovation
- Analyze, evaluate, and test new and existing processes
- Use process simulation software and tools to determine the best production methods
- Oversee implementation of new processes and procedures
- Investigate and troubleshoot any problems that arise with processes, procedures, and operations
- Document all process changes
- Clearly communicate ideas and findings to OnProcess clients, senior management and colleagues
- Assist teams in carrying out implementation of the procedures designed
- Persuade others-clients or executives-to implement the process modifications and new approaches devised
- Devise and design metrics and SLAs to support process improvement changes. Oversee and setup reporting structure
- Demonstrated competency / expertise as an SME for rolling out new OnProcess Process and Methodologies
- Demonstrated superior performance in collaborating with Account Managers, Client Engagement Managers, Site Managers and other OnProcess Supervisors to solve their business problems using automation and process improvement tools
- Demonstrated ability to work in a pre and post-sale environment and engage with future prospects and existing OnProcess customers
- Travel to client and prospect sites (domestic and international) to conduct current state evaluations of processes followed by gap analysis and process improvement recommendations
- Leadership in defining, planning, and launching innovative Process Improvement based solutions for internal and external clients
Qualifications:
- Strong logical thinking
- Basic-moderate UX design skills
- Experience with workflow design tools (MS Visio or alike)
- Experience with supply chain operations, inventory controls and management on a global scale
- Familiarity with OnProcess business processes and model
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well independently and with a team
- Specialized industry-specific training strongly preferred
- Thorough understanding of scientific and mathematical principles
- Understanding of and experience in managing supply chain related KPIs such as On Time Delivery, Hit Rate, Inventory Turns etc.
- Ability to review, create and baseline process and business metrics and reporting
- Understanding of financial and Return on Investment models that support global supply chain operations, ability to engineer and extrapolate value to support process improvement recommendations
- 2-3 years experience
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt minimum)
- Expertise with Lean Tools (DMAIC, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Poka-Yoke, Ishikawa diagrams, Pareto Charts)
- Expertise with Data Analysis Tools (R-Programming, MySQL, MongoDB, MS-Excel)
- Intermediate skills with Software (LINGO, MathCAD, MATLAB, UNISIM, AutoCAD, IOR, MS-Project)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Daily operation of various office based equipment: fax machine, telephone & voice mail operating system. Desktop/laptop computer, e-mail system
- May be required to sit or stand (presentations/meetings) for extended periods of time May spend extended periods operating desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; and communicating face-to-face, on the telephone and in writing
- 20%-30% Domestic and International Travel
- Light lifting of paperwork, folders or other general record keeping materials
