Job Description

McDonalds Global Technology USA has an exciting opportunity for a Business Technical Analyst on the US Restaurant Technology Pilot Team. The US Pilot Team is at the center of all of McDonalds key initiatives. We are technical and functional experts that are accountable to ensure that our POS Software is ready to support our US Restaurants, Crew and Customers. This individual will work with various partners in US Operations, QA, Support, Deployment, and Infrastructure teams to ensure the POS Software meets the Key Performance Indicators. In addition, our Pilot team will also have opportunities to work on various POC initiatives to help our continuous improvement of all elements of the US Technology Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with Development and Communication of the Pilot Plan
  • Must understand the features that are being enabled in the POS software
  • Work closely with our Software Development team on how features will be enabled
  • Work closely with all Pilot Restaurants to ensure they are stable during Pilot Phase
  • Accumulate and analyze quality indicators of the software through the Pilot to identify trends
  • Coordinate and/or execute plans to ensure that technical solutions meet the needs of the business.
  • Liaison between our Pilot Restaurants and our Pilot Support team
  • Follow-up with Pilot Restaurants staff on the successful execution of the software implementation
  • Evolve into the role of subject matter expert of McDonalds POS (NP6, NP#, Kiosk # and Digital) platform.
  • Creates and/or reviews manuals, how-to procedures and related user documentation. Ensures documentation is targeted to the appropriate audience

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with stakeholders to ensure the flawless execution of the software. This person must be a highly organized, excellent communicator, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment and have validated measurable experience in restaurant operations.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • 5+ years professional work experience
  • 2+ years experience designing, coding, and/or deploying Windows-based software
  • Knowledge and comfort with Windows Operations systems including Windows Server (20012-2016), Windows OS (Windows 7 and Windows 10)
  • Understanding of software installation processes on Windows Operation Systems
  • Experience with POS Systems, .NET, Java, C# and other related technologies highly desirable.
  • Scripting, XML, SQL, Perl experience, general programming
  • General understanding of data flows
  • Excellent troubleshooting ability
  • Practical networking experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite

Desired Skills

  • BACHELORS DEGREE IN A TECHNICAL DISCIPLINE IS HIGHLY DESIRED
  • Knowledge of McDonalds POS, BOS and other systems
  • McDonald's business experience/restaurant experience preferred
  • Customer Obsessed
  • Passion for the creation of new solutions to satisfy business challenges
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Have experience working as a critical resource on project teams
  • Ability to assemble and clearly present technical information to non-technical people
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Good organization skills; Detail Oriented and balance multiple priorities successfully
  • Understanding of business risk & financial impact of technical decisions
  • Advanced skills in building and sustaining individual and team relationships with proven ability to manage various relationships
  • Familiar with monitoring and incident management tools such as Service Now, JIRA, Confluence is preferred
