Cake Decorator

Atlantis Casino Resort Spa is looking for an experienced Cake Decorator Lead. This position is responsible for the production and presentation of all standing orders for the bake shop to include but not limited to various cakes, pies, cookies, breads, and pastries. The Cake Decorator will generally be assigned to oversee specific station consisting of either production or finish work; however, this person can be called upon to fulfill both preparation and finish work. Full time available

• To oversee the quantity and quality of all bakery products coming out the bakery.
• To follow and delegate any orders given by the Pastry Chef or Assistants.
• To make sure that team members are doing their jobs in a timely and efficient manner.
• To ensure that all sanitation rules and regulations are being followed, which includes bleach buckets, wearing of hats, gloves, etc.
• To train and improve baking &decorating skills to other team members.
• To make sure all orders are filled and delivered if necessary
• To provide the highest quality that we can give.
• To oversee and help in product rotation, like with the fruit, dairy products, etc.
• To check all orders on a daily basis, to make sure that all is ready to go. To help fill out production forms.
• Constant communication between supervisors and team mates on a daily basis
• To do the best of your ability to do what is asked of you pertaining to the bake shop.
• To let supervisors know if in need of supplies to continually getting the job done at hand.
• To help organize, condense, and clean the freezers and walk-in.
• To help put away any stock that comes in and to keep all items orderly.
• To have at least 3 to 5 years experience in a lead/supervisory role.
• Must have a general knowledge of all aspects pertaining to the bakery.
• Must be willing to do what ever it takes.
• Must have a positive and energetic attitude and show inititive.
• Must know all food safety and sanitation issue pertaining to the bakery.
• Must be able to understand, speak, & write English.
• Other duties as assigned.
