The Department of Dental Medicine is seeking a dedicated individual who is committed to providing good customer services working as an Agent in our Call Center .
This entry level position will be responsible for answering telephone calls on a multi-line telephone, scheduling patient dental appointments, verifying dental insurance, directing calls, answering questions, and taking messages for our 10 dental residents, faculty providers, dental hygienists and numerous staff.
Other duties may include working at the front desk, greeting visitors, checking in and out patients, perform routine clerical, data entry and/or word processing duties, and working on special projects.
Preference will be given for applicants that have office/front desk experience.
Summary for a Call Center Agent:
Performs a variety of administrative and clerical support duties for UNMMG clinics.
Minimum Job Requirements for a Call Center Agent:
High school diploma or GED. Verification of education and licensure will be required if selected for hire.
Duties and Responsibilities of a Call Center Agent:
- Provides administrative/clerical support for the clinic, duties include, but not limited to, answering phones, taking messages, typing, copying, faxing, etc.
- Responsible for scheduling appointments, meetings, and/or other documents.
- Responsible for daily reminder patient appointment calls.
- Establishes, maintains, processes, and/or updates files, records, and/or other documents.
- Maintains clinic databases as assigned.
- May run errands as directed.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Three locations offer specific types of dental care.
Camino de Salud Residency Clinic and Faculty Practice
Services are provided by dental school graduates. Experienced dental faculty oversee your care, including care for medically complex patients. Available services include cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry, as well as oral surgery and teeth whitening.
Camino de Salud Ambulatory Surgical Center
This state-of-the-art surgical center is staffed by an experienced team of dental and nursing professionals. Appointments are by referral only. We treat a wide range of patients, including children and patients with extensive dental needs.

Dental hygiene students treat patients under licensed dental faculty supervision.
