Job Description

Under administrative direction, coordinates work of contact tracers and directly provides case management services, outreach, support and referral for those impacted by COVID-19 and their university contacts to maintain the health and safety of the university workforce by reducing transmission of COVID -19.   


Salary Range

$21.00 per hour

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND one year of supervisory experience; OR, Four years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of effective supervisory practices. Knowledge of HIPAA, privacy practice and patient rights. Knowledge of community resources. Knowledge of public health efforts related to contact tracing. Skill in building rapport. Experience in case management. Skill in critical thinking. Evidence of effective verbal and written communication. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage diverse caseload. Ability to prioritize risks and needs of cases. Ability to effectively communicate with teammates

Responsibilities

Essential Duties Provide guidance and direction to contact tracing staff to ensure effective workflow and outcomes. Elevate unusual or problematic cases to area leadership as necessary. Conduct telephone interviews and follow up calls with assigned cases. Participate in routine check-ins as required. Ensure complete, timely and accurate data collection methods using secure server. Share basic health information, assess needs and provide referrals for support. Provide guidance on university policy and connect campus resources. Maintain confidentiality of HIPAA protected information. Provide daily reports and case updates. Adhere to CDC and ADHS recommendations and guidance Working Environment This position will work remotely. May be required to come to campus for special events or training only. Training will be provided. Equipment and phone reimbursement will be provide. Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, fax, calculator, copier, telephone and associated computer/technology peripherals. Receives regular review of assignments and caseload to achieve objectives and goals.
