LOCATION: The Salvation Army Herberger Campus - Phoenix, AZ


STATUS:  Full-Time


POSITION SUMMARY:


The Case Manager is responsible for interviewing clients by phone and in person to determine eligibility for the Phoenix Family Services Emergency Assistance Program. They will submit guarantees to various utility companies and work with landlords to collect necessary information for the purpose of rental assistance. While Interviewing clients the Case Manager will determine other client needs and refer to the appropriate community agency. The CM will demonstrate superior seamless customer service, integrity, and commitment to innovation, efficiency, and fiscally responsible activity.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literate in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a diverse group of residents, staff, and community partners.
  • Working knowledge of Social Services
  • Experience working with homeless and/or at-risk families preferred.
  • Good organizational skills
  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check
  • Bilingual is preferred (English/Spanish)

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate a telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
