CASE MANAGER: Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager. Will organize and coordinate case management services to clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in the Social Sciences, or related field of study. Ability to work efficiently with public and private agency professionals. Ability to follow and carryout written and oral instructions quickly and accurately. Ability to perform all works rapidly and accurately, meeting all deadlines when applicable. Ability to exhibit emotional maturity and good judgment, to include high standards of morals and speech. Must be able to use direction in all facets of work-related situations. Broad knowledge of assessment, service planning and service coordination in working with adolescents and families. Knowledge of community problems and resource agencies to include ability to access services as needed. Must keep abreast of modern techniques and methods used in working with youth in a school based setting.
JOB CHARACTERISTICS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This is a professional position, which requires organizational, and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with YDI employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulation concerning confidentiality. Background investigation to include fingerprinting will be required. Physical is required upon hire, and may be required intermittently. Frequent travel is required by employee and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required.
