Job Description

The incumbent in this position assists the Director to carry through and monitor complex assignments of the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Reservation Natural Resources program while performing managerial oversight. The primary focus of this position is to work directly with the Director of Natural Resources in matters concerning the Tribal cattle program and other Natural Resource departments. The individual plans, coordinates, executes and monitors the day to day operations related to natural resource protection activities, including, but not limited to cattle management, air pollution, water pollution, groundwater and soil protection, ecosystem protection and restoration, development and implementation of agricultural management practices. This position reviews and analyzes plans and proposed development activity in relation to its impact on critical areas and to ensure compliance with applicable regulations. Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, or other agriculture related degrees, such as natural resource management, environmental science, biology, forestry, geology, hydrology or other related field knowledge is required. A minimum of three (3) years of management and/or professional level work experience in natural resource conservation field is required. An equivalent combination of relevant education/ training and experience will be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate proficiency utilizing Microsoft software packages. Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
