CEN Specialist (Children with Extraordinary Needs)

Childnet is actively recruiting for a CEN Specialist (Children with Extraordinary Needs). This position requires dedication and involvement with human trafficking. Responsibilities:

Manages the case of a dependent child ensuring that they receive all the necessary services detailed in the case plan:

• Weekly Visits (or weekly phone contact if out of county), mandatory attendance in all DJJ court proceedings, BH and multi-disciplinary staffing, school staffing, etc. for the children
• Move child swiftly to best outcome fulfilling established Federal & State mandates and FL statue
• Meet with outside providers to coordinate the child(ren) entrance into ChildNets system of care
• Conducting preliminary assessments
• Contacting the appropriate provider agencies
• Prepare notes for department staff on events that occurred while on shift
• Preparing a plan for the child(ren) & family regarding school, assist with court orders, assist with medical coverage, supervised visits, coordinate transportation for child(ren), direct supervision, provide medication as prescribed with consent as needed

Skills / Requirements

• BA or Masters (social work ~ related area)
• Active CWCM Certification from FL Dept of Children & Families
• 2 years experience in human services/child welfare program (Required)
• 1-year prior experience in Dept of Juvenile Justice, Behavioral Health or related (Preferred)
• Strong Computer Skills
• Valid Florida Drivers License
• Reliable transportation and proof of insurance
• Willing to work a varied work schedule
• $45K annually plus lucrative benefit package
