Job Descriptions

The Central Operation Associate coordinates the delivery of customer orders between Amazon drivers, third-party companies, and Amazon Operators.

What its like to work as a Central Operation Associate:
  • Coordinate rescue support between two drivers
  • Interpret information from different sources to determine best course of action to drive delivery success
  • Communicate with delivery partners ensuring on-time delivery
  • Coordinate with Amazon Station Operators to ensure customer orders dispatch timely and accurately
  • Solve for planned and unplanned events (traffic, weather, sporting, community) leading to anomalies outside normal dispatch operations
  • Identifies exceptions and escalates to management
  • Completes intra-window reports using standard tools/process
  • Candidates must be flexible to work weekends and/or evenings
  • All work is executed on a computer through Amazon proprietary software and Microsoft Office
  • Communicate via phone/chat/email with various Amazon stakeholders to answer real time questions to remove barriers

Basic qualifications:
  • Must be able to understand and adhere to all safety requirements
  • High school, GED, or equivalent diploma
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong computer skills using a transportation management system as well as Microsoft Office products.
  • Good teamwork mentality: able to build trustworthy and supportive working relationships.
  • Strong logical thinking, analytical skills, and problem solving skills.
  • Five years of experience in customer support and/or distribution operations.
  • Experience in transportation/dispatch industry is a plus.
  • Strong computer skills using a transportation management system as well as Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
