Our client in Washington, DC is seeking multiple compassionate and dedicated Certified Addictions Counselors to provide in-person direction and support to patients in all stages of addictions recovery treatment.
SUMMARY OF CLIENT'S DESCRIPTION OF THIS OPPORTUNITY
* Manage all aspects of a case from date of entry to date of discharge
* Evaluate patients' physical and mental behaviors
* Develop appropriate treatment and recovery plans
* Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions
* Monitor patients over time to access treatment progress
* Collaborate with psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, social workers, and departments of correction
* Identify behaviors that interfere with treatment and recovery
* Assist primary caregivers to manage addiction-related behavior
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Must posses active CAC I (or higher) License in Washington, DC (required for this assignment)
* Knowledge and understanding of all stages of addictions recovery, treatment plans, and clinical documentation
* Previous work in the mental health field, detox, substance abuse, etc
* Must complete local, state and federal background checks as required by client and drug screening
