Mountain Vista Medical Center is a 178-bed, state-of-the-art hospital located in east Mesa, Arizona, offering comprehensive health care services, including emergency care, heart care, advanced surgical procedures, orthopedics, breast care, maternity care, and womens services. Florence Hospital, a campus of Mountain View Medical Center, is a 36-bed hospital offering emergency care, as well as surgical, imaging and laboratory services to residents of Pinal County. Certified Nurse Assistant Position
Provides direct and indirect basic nursing care within the Certified Nursing Assistant's scope of practice under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. Likely interaction with Patients, patient's families, nurses, physicians, other clinical and non-clinical staff, and visitors. Committee and meeting participation may include Unit Staff Meetings; other participation as appropriate and required. Demonstrates support of the Medical Center's mission, values and vision in all actions and interactions with employees, patients, medical staff, guests, and visitors. Works to make a positive impression on patients and their guests, other employees, medical staff, and visitors. Protects the privacy and dignity of our patients. Communicates in a caring and appropriate way Nursing Care Delivery. Provides basic nursing care to patients within the Certified Nursing Assistant's scope of practice including actions that meet their psychosocial, age specific and physical needs. Demonstrates knowledge of basic disease entities. Assists and provides for all activities of daily living. Completes documentation, which reflects current nursing standards, policies and procedures. Assists physicians, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team with procedures and performs services requiring technical and manual skills within the CNA scope of practice. Manages and operates unit equipment safely and correctly. Assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse. Demonstrates knowledge of current patient safety goals and MVMC's policies and procedures supporting standards of care Communications. Demonstrates positive oral and written communication skills. Communicates, in a timely manner, to supervising nurse any patient's needs, concerns, questions, data collection information or observed changes in patient's status and responses. Communicates appropriately with patients, their guests, and visitors. Communicates and collaborates with other health care team members to provide an interdisciplinary approach to patient's needs and ensure a positive environment. Interacts with a high level of professionalism, respect and dignity. Maintains patient confidentiality Personal Development and Leadership. Participates in the clinical development of self and others by assuming responsibility and accountability for assigned unit activities. Demonstrates support for organizational goals for improving patient, staff, and physician satisfaction. Participates in the department's continuous quality improvement activities.
Position Summary:
- HS/GED Diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed CNA in the State of Arizona
- BCLS Certification required
- Ability to work effectively with computer based charting and other clinical software programs
- Adaptability to change, organizational skills
- Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
