Promotes improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processingdepartment. Performs routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution ofinstruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment. Maintains records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification, andmonitors, instructs and mentors non-certified. Facilitates awareness and understanding around what is at stake withpatients in the OR. Facilitates the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments.

What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

6 months of experience, preferredComputer skills, required

HS GED, Required

CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)

It also serves as southern Colorado's home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air medical helicopter service.
