POSITION SUMMARY:
  • Reporting to the Administrative Director of Revenue Cycle with a dotted line to the Director of Financial Planning, this full-time position is responsible for support within hospital revenue cycle operations related to charge capture processes, revenue integrity and charge description master (CDM) maintenance and will require root cause analysis of issues and develop cross-application solution design (system and/or workflow). This position reviews and implements changes, additions and deletions to the CDM file. The position develops CDM policies and ensures they are compliant.
  • This position works closely with all internal customers relating to revenue cycle. Acts as team leader and/or project manager for special projects related to CDM and charge data. The position will have responsibility of ensuring compliant Charge Description Master (CDM) data file content and usage within the Patient Accounting software application and data retrieval and reporting from various Meditech and external decision support software applications. This position manages CDM file quality by facilitating submission and performing data entry of CDM file revisions. Will serve as liaison between the CDM Team, Department Managers, Support Areas (IT, HIM, PFS, Finance, Compliance, etc.) and special task forces/committees on CDM data issues. Understanding of Meditech Expanse HIS systems is a plus.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/License/Certification:
  • Must possess a Bachelors degree with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration and three (3) years of experience in Chargemaster Maintenance and Principles OR (5) five years of experience in Chargemaster Maintenance and Principles and a national certification in a related field as determined by the respective VP within 90 days of acceptance of the position (time frame for completion of the certification will also be determined by the VP).

Experience/Skills:
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in Chargemaster Maintenance and Principles.
