Responsible for providing overall leadership in the strategic operations and daily planning of the entity acting as the entity representative in all operational related initiatives. Collaborating with their peers and the Colorado Springs Market CEO, this position will provide guidance for entity specific strategic and operational initiatives which also include the identification of programs and services to meet the changing market demands. While this role is the administrative lead over their acute care campus, they will be collectively accountable for care delivery and the operational/financial performance of the market as a key member of the Centura - Colorado Springs leadership team. Success is determined not only by the performance of their hospital, but by the aggregate performance of the market, rationalizing services were necessary, and working together with peers and market/system leadership for the common good. As such, the facility portion of their At-Risk executive incentive compensation will be calculated based on the aggregate performance of the Colorado Springs market.

Important to this role is understanding the leadership expectations of this position and the entire leadership team throughout Centura Health. Each leader must have a personal and professional connection to the Mission of this Christian organization. This position must be a team player themselves and contribute toward a Team centered approach that lends itself to ensuring "team before self" in order to lead this complex, highly matrixed organization into the differentiated leading role as THE system of choice. In order to achieve maximum efficiency and synergies where available, this position will have direct reports who have responsibilities across the market. Direct reports include but not limited to:

  • OR Director - Penrose Hospital
  • Director of the Penrose and St. Francis Cancer Centers
  • Director of Imaging - Colorado Springs
  • Director of Ortho and Neuro Services

Peers include but not limited to:

  • Chief Nursing Officer, Penrose Hospital
  • Chief Operating Officer - Administrator, St. Francis Hospital
  • Chief Operating Officer - Administrator, St. Clare Orthopedic Hospital
  • Chief Medical Officer, Colorado Springs
  • Chief Financial Officer, Colorado Springs
What You Bring/Job Requirements

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field required (Business Administration, Finance or Accounting).

  • Master's degree required

  • 7 years progressive responsibility in healthcare administration to include supervisory and leadership experience.
