Child and Family Therapist/ Clinician

**Join our innovative, skilled and creative team of clinicians, engagement specialists, and peer partners who provide therapeutic services for children in an outpatient setting.

 

** Our multi-disciplinary team, including psychiatry, is committed to providing the highest level of clinical care to our vulnerable children and families.

 

**Excellent clinical supervision provided (focused on helping you pass your licensing exam!!) in addition to evidenced-based clinical training opportunities at no cost, many with CEU available. These include but are not limited to Motivational Interviewing, CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and providing Trauma Informed Care, in addition to other therapeutic techniques and frameworks. Additionally, all clinicians will participate in a 3-day training to become certified in Incredible Years, another evidence-based practice.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

*Engages youth and family in strength based, trauma focused individual, group and family services

*Diagnoses a client's problems by collecting and evaluating information about the youth's situation

* Develops a treatment plan by establishing treatment goals with the youth; determining treatment methodologies

*Provides individual, group and family therapy

*Obtains services by initiating referrals and ensuring connection and engagement

*Monitors progress toward treatment goals by evaluating and adjusting services provided as clinically indicated

*Provides parenting groups utilizing the Incredible Years curriculum

*Assures quality service for clients by working closely with families, foster families, referral sources

*Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks

*Maintains agency credibility by establishing working relationships with community resources

*Engages county social workers, CASAs and attorneys in the youth's treatment per agency P&Ps

 

Skills/Qualifications:

*Master's Degree AND registration with Board of Behavioral Sciences/intern number-REQUIRED

*Experience and skill in working effectively with children and families, strongly preferred

*1 year experience providing individual, group and family therapy, strongly encouraged

* Licensed positions (LCSW, MFT, LPCC) also available


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

*Experience providing individual group and family therapy

* Experience with substance abusing adults

 

Beginning salary range: $60,000-67,000 yearly depending on education, experience, language abilities, and number of clinical hours
