Position Description

The Town of Marana is seeking a CIP Engineering Division Manager to perform responsible program management duties associated with day-to-day operations of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in having a direct impact on the Town's capital improvement projects.

Expected Hiring Range: $90,070.00 - $108,000.00
Salary Range: $90,070.00 - $135,106.00

  • placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget
Examples of Duties

  • Manages, assigns, reviews, tracks and evaluates the work and/or projects of division staff to ensure projects meet regulatory requirements
  • Manages and performs plan reviews and project design by coordinating with consultants;
  • Reviews engineering plans and documents; prepares cost estimates and specifications;
  • Coordinates reviews for plans and documents with town departments, utilities, external agencies, and public interest
  • Manages CIP Engineering Division by preparing operational budgets and supervising staff
  • Oversees the delivery of Capital Improvement Projects and project management
  • Oversees the ROW program
  • Performs utility coordination
  • Develops policies and manages planning, design and construction of public projects
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
  • Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering and project management
  • Three or more years of experience supervising technical staff
  • Current registration as a Professional Civil Engineer in Arizona
  • Valid AZ Driver License
  • Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.
