Job Description

The Town of Marana is seeking a Water/Wastewater Civil Engineer to work within the Water Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in providing technical support for engineering activities through hydraulic modeling, master planning, plan reviews, and water system analysis.

Expected Hiring Range: $79,709 - $99,635/year
Salary Range: $79,709 - $119,562/year
- placement within the salary range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget
- Reviews and approves public and developer financed construction documents to be constructed in Marana Waters service area; reviews technical reports such as master plans, infrastructure improvement plans, and hydraulic modeling reports.
- Develops and maintains hydraulic water and sewer models used to track system capacity, provides direction to developments, and conducts "what if" development scenarios.
- Provides engineering support to water distribution, water treatment, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment operations.
- Prepares technical memoranda, reports, and presentations to describe results of hydraulic and engineering analysis.
- Investigates water/sewer related field problems affecting property owners, contractors, and infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Provides construction cost estimates and other engineering support to infrastructure planning and policy making.
- Observe and document construction of water and wastewater infrastructure to verify adherence to design documents and permitting requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field.
- Over three years experience in Civil Engineering, Environmental or closely related field.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona or in another State with ability to obtain AZ PE within eighteen months.
- Valid Arizona Driver License.
- Experience in EPANet, WaterCAD, InfoWater or other hydraulic modeling software.
- Ability to pass the Town of Marana background check
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS software
- Proficiency in hydraulic modeling Software- EPAnet, InfoWater, waterCAD, etc
