Classified Fiscal Support Specialist

JOB GOAL
Incumbents are responsible for performing paraprofessional fiscal support activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.), and three years of experience directly related to accounts payable, bookkeeping, or payroll, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed below.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Duties will include processing contracted and hourly employees for bi-weekly payroll. Maintaining two databases, deductions, and timesheets. Must have knowledge of word and excel.
  • Processing routers;
  • Revolving fund accounts, tax clearing accounts, and direct deposit accounts;
  • Preparing federal and state tax reports and Department of Economic Security reports;
  • Reviewing and preparing W-2 information;
  • Preparing the payroll calendar.
Positions assigned to Food Services may be responsible for:
  • Preparing and inputting daily invoices;
  • Completing vouchers;
  • Calculating paid, free, and reduced meal information for reimbursement;
  • Reconciling cash balance reports;
  • Preparing meal and labor hour reports by site, clusters, and the District.
Positions assigned to Special Services may be responsible for:
  • Processing and monitoring projected budget funds by accounting code;
  • Maintaining expenses based on federal and state guidelines for funds and capital expenses;
  • Processing students approved for residential treatment center vouchers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Positions in this class typically require: fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
  • Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
