Clerk, Maintenance (Crib Attendant) 2nd Shift

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Clerk, Maintenance (Crib Attendant) at our Temple, TX manufacturing plant.

This will be a 2nd Shift position with hours 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm. (15:00 - 23:30).

This position will work in a normal maintenance parts room environment, subject to normal temperature fluctuations of working in a manufacturing plant.

This position is responsible for working closely with maintenance personnel, creating work orders for distribution, post work orders into the computer system, match clock time with the work order and closes work order when the process is complete using the computer system.

May also perform purchasing functions for all parts and supplies for the maintenance operation for Temple Division.

Maintains frequent contact with vendors, management and maintenance personnel.

Major challenge involves the placing of timely requisitions for materials, parts and supplies to maintain the uninterrupted operations of the manufacture of products for internal and external customers.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic computer experience
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Ability to read a basic tape measure
• Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and call-in with little notice
• Prior experience in a maintenance or parts room environment would be beneficial
