Job SummaryThe Client Technology Modern Desktop Engineer designs, configures, administers, builds, deploys,secures, manages, and monitors devices and client applications in a distributed enterpriseenvironment using either Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (formerly SCCM), Intune, Jamf orVMWare Workspace One.The engineer will design and engineer the Windows Desktop Operating Systems and automateupgrade processes on physical and virtual infrastructure to Centura Health standards for optimalperformance and stability. The individual manages operating system deployment configuration (WIMfiles, Driver Packages, Customized Task Sequences, UEFI/BIOS and Registry configuration).In addition, the engineer will integrate both vendor supplied and custom developed applications intothe managed desktop environment and will package applications using Flexera. The individual will alsobe responsible for providing support for 3rd tier troubleshooting of client computing issues andendpoint security relates issues as requested.The position collaborates with server and network engineers, Cybersecurity, and business analysts todeliver desktop solutions and meet company standards. The engineer must be able to adapt tochanging technology and need to stay at the forefront on leading IT Systems and solutions.

Education

Bachelor degree from anaccredited institution in a field of study related to the work assignment. Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for year basis.

Minimum Experience Requirements5 years of experience supporting Windows 10 at a Tier III level in a large complex corporate ITenvironment preferably in a health care settingExpert knowledge and hand on experience of SCCM, Flexera, Active Directory, Group Policy andPowerShellUnderstand MSI packaging best practices and standards and an understanding of softwaredeployment leveraging Microsoft SCCMAuditing of hardware/software inventoriesResponsible for writing and maintaining procedural and design documentationExtensive knowledge of Windows operating system patching, enterprise class desktop hardware andsoftware such as Windows 10, Mobile Device OS and antivirus.Remote management and troubleshooting, Asset management and inventory.Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking for LAN and WAN.Strong understanding of enterprise anti-virus solutions, endpoint data protection, and encryption.Advanced knowledge of registry, permissions, and drivers and software required.Experience with VMware Workspace One including AirWatch and Horizon Air.Expertise in virtualizing applications through sequencing is desired, but not required.Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization on IT related issues and initiatives strongcritical thinking skills: ability to quickly comprehend problems, develop hypotheses, draw logicalconclusions, develop solutions, and respond accordinglyTier III support with in-depth knowledge of desktop/application troubleshootingStrong analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skillsMust understand and have used Windows Command Shell Script VBScript and PowerShellDemonstrated excellence in oral and written communication skillsAbility to train and mentor othersExcellent communication, teamwork and customer service skills.Able to work effectively under deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment.
