Work Location: Espanola, NM


PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Implements the policies and clinical management procedures established for the facility. Supervises clinical activities ensuring the program services are provided in accordance with policies and procedures, best practice approaches in trauma informed care, local, state and federal laws, regulation and licensure/accreditation standards. Creates a climate which promotes quality treatment for each client. Manages the clinical staff.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree in a behavioral health related field.
  • Be an independently licensed behavioral health professional under the laws of the state of New Mexico
  • Have at least 3 years of behavioral health experience; and
  • Have at least 2 years of supervision in a behavioral health setting
  • Must meet the applicable requirements for independently licensed clinician in the following:
    • Psychiatrist
  • Behavioral Health Medical Practitioner
  • Psychologist
  • Social Worker
  • Counselor
  • Marriage and Family Therapist
  • Substance Abuse Counselor, or
  • Registered Nurse with at least one (1) year of full-time behavioral health work experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES

  • Be responsible for the clinical or treatment programs offered by Naciente.
  • Assist the Administrator in the development and approval of behavioral health service delivery policies and procedures;
  • Help Develop and approve medication policies and procedures:
  • Planning and implementation of required clinical training for employees;
  • Manage utilization review process by which the agency will evaluate the quality of client record documentation, counseling services, evaluation and diagnosis;
  • Establish and enforce policies and procedures for clinical supervision of clinical personnel;
  • Establish the qualifications necessary for clinical personnel to deliver behavioral health services as offered by the Company;
  • Ensure that each client receives the appropriate care in accordance with the client's treatment plan;
  • Comply with the policies and procedures required pursuant to CARF, SOTA and SAMHSA
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
