Clinical Nurse Educator

POSITION SUMMARY

Collaborates with staff to identify learning and educational needs hospital wide. Responsible for coordinating clinical orientation and competency verification, as well as to coordinate life support education and training for clinical staff. Specialist will have an active role in promoting continuing education for all hospital staff and will take an active part in healthcare-education aspects of community relations.

This position is expected to continue clinical shifts and flex up/down in clinical areas when needed to provide extra support.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in nursing or closely related health field preferred upon hire, required within 24 months.

Experience: 3-5 years related experience required in a clinical or clinical education setting. Microsoft office experience. Must be able to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner. Ability to give formal and informal presentations, occasionally in front of large groups.

Licenses/Certification: RN License current in the state of Colorado. BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC.

Compensation: $36.05/hr - $43.26/hr, depending on experience.

Medical, dental, vision, health care FSA, and dependent care FSA: All active employees working 40 or more hours per pay period are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following 30 days of active service. PRN staff are not initially eligible for benefits, and GVH follows all Affordable Health Care Act Eligibility guidelines.
