Job Summary:

The Division of Fee for Service Management (DFSM) is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Clinical Operations Deputy Assistant Director. This position oversees the Division of Fee for Service Management (DFSM) clinical units and third party accounts, providing coordination of clinical processes and providing the Clinical Administration Section a strong knowledge in health plan operations.

Job Duties:

* Administration and oversight of the clinical administration units. Direct and indirect supervision of health professional staff and other staff to provide clinical leadership. Ensure implementation and compliance w/federal and state program requirements.

* Conducts public relations functions when dealing with Fee-for-Service providers, especially Indian Health Service, Tribally owned and operated 638 facilities, tribal governments and other health care professionals. May develop data and presentations to be shared with external stakeholders regarding the FFS programs and populations.

* Attend and lead division and agency meetings/committees related to the clinical administration of DFSM, including representing DFSM in agency wide policy and workgroup meetings.

* Represents DFSM on agency-wide, Executive level task forces on key agency projects and initiatives.

* Work with clinical administration on program development, ensuring timely implementation of major agency and division initiatives and projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

* Knowledge of federal regulations relating to Medicaid

* Skills in supervision of a multi-level staff

* Knowledge of current medically accepted standards of care & modes of delivery of acute & non-acute medical services

* Ability to develop & prepare information & deliver in a public setting in a manner that can be easily understood by the audience

* Skills in research and analysis techniques, especially in areas of health care policy

* Skills in Microsoft office or comparable software program to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint & Outlook (or Google equivalent)

* A licensed Registered Nurse, Physician's Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or behavioral health professional certification is required. Experience in the administration, direction, or implementation of the Medicaid program is not considered the equivalent of professional training in a field of medical care.

Selective Preference(s):

* At least five (5) years of progressive work experience in managed healthcare that includes two (2) years of supervisory experience.

* Five (5) years of work experience in medical or behavioral healthcare settings.

* Bachelors or Masters degree in healthcare related field.

* Knowledge of AHCCCS, AZ Long Term Care Services & Fee For Service population that includes program design & implementation, case management, functions/responsibilities, provider network & funding sources.
