Job Description

Summary

Employee will Screen all clientele for appropriateness of services. Schedules and coordinated intake slots with clinical staff, answers questions for all new clientele on a walk-in and phone call basis. This is an entry level position in the COSS service area. Level I will operate under direct supervision performing routine and repetitive tasks.


Duties

1. Receive all incoming referrals, performs intakes, and process all required intake paperwork to register client.

2. Compile, maintain, retrieve, and file all medical records to ensure completeness, availability, and timeliness.

3. Provide customer service to all scheduled and walk-in appointments, answer telephone operate switchboard, handle requests, and transfer calls to appropriate staff.

4. Process correspondence to other agencies, staff and clients in accordance with the policies and procedures related to confidentiality.

5. Schedule clinical and financial appointments for all clientele including their responsibilities to pay set fees.

6. Input verified information pertinent to intake and appointment scheduling into appropriate fields of the computer database.

7. Verify information collected from clients and other sources for accuracy and completeness.

8. Perform clerical duties as necessary

9. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Training and Experience

High school graduate or equivalent

1 year of work experience.

Valid Arizona Driver's License

Prefer experience with mental health and/or special populations, must be familiar with medical terminology.
