Under general supervision, and in addition to performing the full range of operational level duties, responsible for administering social service programs or relevant work. Provides social work services consisting of discharge planning, continuing care services, and clinical social work services, including crisis intervention, mandated reporting, information and referral, and coordination of health and mental health services with community providers.
The Clinical Social Worker is responsible for working on the Senior Behavioral Health Unit. Providing clinical support to the patient population with individual and support system interventions, resource education and access, unsheltered, poly substance abuse/dependence, complex care management, grief, end of life, change in functioning levels, discharge planning, crisis intervention, and care management planning. Weekends, holidays and covering for vacations & sick time.
Depending on the experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at a Clinical Social Worker II or Clinical Social Worker III level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA Master's degree in social work from an accredited school.
At least two (2) years of post-MSW experience. To be considered for the Clinical Social Worker III, the candidate must have at least three (3) years of post-MSW experience and be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
Must possess the knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

Excellent skills to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of staff, physicians, patients, and external constituents, both verbally and in writing.
- Bilingual in both English and Spanish.
- Epic experience.
- 2 years of post-graduate clinical experience.
- 2 years experience working with varied levels of population.
- 1 year experience working in a hospital or residential setting.
- Experience working with high levels of social determinants patient populations, polysubstance abuse/dependence patient populations, unsheltered, and medical social work.
- Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
- Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
- Thursday through Monday (5 day) schedule or Friday through Tuesday (5 day) schedule.
- Depending on the experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at a Clinical Social Worker II or Clinical Social Worker III level. The pay scale for the CSWII (2+ years post-MSW experience) is $85,248-$112,292. The pay scale for the CSWIII (with California LCSW) is $95,630-$125,989.
Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $95,626 - $125,990 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $45.80 - $60.34
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
