POSITION SUMMARY:
- Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse, the Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) performs individually assigned patient care activities based upon established patient care policies and procedures. Specific areas of responsibility include monitoring of patient vital signs, providing patient hygiene and comfort measures, assisting with medical procedures, fulfilling nutritional needs, and maintenance of a record of the care provided as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/License/Certification:
- Must have and maintain current Certified Nursing Assistant in the State of California
- Must have and maintain current BLS certification or obtain within orientation process, prior to hands-on patient care.
Experience/Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence if required. Ability to speak English, write legibly, and read, understand and follow directions.
- C.N.A. experience is preferred.
