Job Description
CNC OPERATOR & PROGRAMMER - Direct Hire Position PAY UP TO $35/hour if you meet the below qualifications with experience.
The CNC Machinist should possess a strong knowledge of CNC Machining and must be able to read micrometers and calipers as well as program the CNC Machine.
The CNC Machinist works under limited supervision and is responsible to perform a variety of duties efficiently with high quality results:
Essential Functions:
Utilize Autodesk Inventor CAD software to develop solid models of parts from technical prints.
Utilize Inventor CAM software to program two SMEC CNC Lathes with driven tooling.
Edit G-code after post processing to ensure correct tooling and toolpaths will be used.
Manage all tooling and ensure correct tooling is being utilized within the program.
Ability to set up lathes and milling tools with no supervision.
Edit G-code at the machine controls to compensate for taper and maintain tight tolerances.
Good understanding of GD&T and blueprint interpretation.
Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as: test indicators, dial indicators, calipers, O.D. micrometers, and depth micrometers.
Verify bar stock is correct for corresponding jobs.
Schedule machining to get parts to assembly in a timely matter.
Utilize manual lathes to chase threads and repair shafts and check T.I.R. of shafts.
Maintain proper inspection documentation.
Able to maintain low tolerances as indicted by specifications or drawings as low as .0005 at times.
Understands how to determine speeds and feeds to obtain proper surface finish.
Able to work overtime; typically, throughout the week and occasionally on weekends.
Safe operation of Forklift within a Machine Shop environment.
Lifting and Rigging of heavy components of various configurations & weights.
Safe Over Head Crane operation.
Adheres to all company EH&S & QMS processes.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Maintain the shaft cell schedule spreadsheet for time analysis and correct scheduling on shaft production.
Utilize FARO CMM arm to check offsets on pump heads.
Create technical drawings for tools and fixtures that are used on the shop floor.
Other Responsibilities:
Create QN reports within SAP.
Quality inspect all incoming parts.
Create repair scopes for all exchange pumps.

EDUCATON:
Attained High school diploma or GED required. Technical school degree is a plus
