CNC Operator (Programmer) HAAS Lathe

DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:

• Job Title: CNC Operator (Programmer) HAAS Lathe
• Location: Houston, TX
• Pay: Negotiable
• Hours: Monday through Friday 8:00-5:00pm
• Duration: Temp to Hire
• Description of Duties: Operate controls, load parts, and approve programs. Inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements. Interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequences of operations and set up requirements. Ensure production rates are met or exceeded. Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. Lead 2-3 operators to ensure productivity and quality standards are met.
• Requirements: Minimum 5 years experience preferred in set-up and programming of CNC lathes. Experience with reading and editing G and M codes. Knowledge of calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales. Strong understanding of blueprint reading/ geometric tolerance interpretation. Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts, and other accessories used on various machines. Must possess basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication. CNC programming a must.
