Collections Representative - Pt Acctg Collections - Full Time

SUMMARY: Responsible for the management and collection of self-pay patient balances. Works with patients to secure government sponsored health insurance, make payment arrangements for self-pay contracts, process bankruptcy and make recommendation toward charity care eligibility. Greets customers and other visitors, process incoming mail daily and operate a multi-line telephone routing incoming calls.

EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum three (3) years clerical and/or healthcare experience required
• Minimum two (2) years billing experience in a clinic/hospital setting preferred
• Must possess excellent communication/interpersonal skills as well as the ability to problem solve effectively and handle multiple priorities
• Proficient computer skills and aptitude
• Bilingual skills preferred
