    Summary:
    The Color Me Smart (CMS) Childcare Staff provides direct supervision of children including assisting in the implementation of a developmentally appropriate, play based child care program while following Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care Center Rules and Regulations including supervision during lunch and recess.

    Responsibilities:
    -Assist in planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, play based program that is consistent with the program
    -Ensure the safety of children
    -Assist in maintaining compliance with licensing guidelines set by the Colorado Department of Human Services, local County Health Department and School District policies and procedures.
    -Participate in trainings, workshops, in-services, professional learning community meetings for ongoing learning
    -Maintain confidentiality and a high level of ethical behavior and professionalism
    -Maintain positive working relationships with school personnel
    -Utilize computer and software applications for at least taking attendance, required trainings, and timesheets
    -Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    Required:
    -Meet or exceed the education and experience requirements for Staff Aide as established by the Colorado Department of Human Services (Rule 7.702.44D as of 1/17/19).
    -No experience, and up to and including one year experience in: Early Childhood/K-2
    -General knowledge of young children
    -Ability to communicate orally and written, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds
    -Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
    -Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job
    -Must be able to lift 50 pounds to assist children in toileting along with other delegated health care duties
    -Technology and computer proficiency in multiple software applications(Google)

    Preferred:
    -Minimum of six months experience working with children
    -Current CPR/First Aid Certification
