ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS:
Required to work at District Community events/activities.

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:

The Computer Instructor is responsible for classroom instruction for Community members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


- Instruct student in a variety of computer software and basic computer skills.
0 Teach current business procedures utilizing appropriate software.
0 Develop a wide range of scheduling options for students.
0 Conduct vocational workshops or other instructional services as needed for resume writing, careerdevelopment etc.Coordinate computer projects with work sites selected.
0 Monitor student progress weekly.

- Develop individual skill plans for each student, modify plan as necessary and meet with students regularly to
keep student on track.

- Choose/write computer curriculum and SCANS skills curriculum needed in class
leadership, project planning, time management etc.
0 Select materials appropriate to students learning level.
0 Coordinate a Tech Lab Assistant Program.
0 Manage all aspects of the c ssroom, physical setup, daily routine, student discipline, student attendance,
prepare attendance records and general reports as required.
0 Perform other related duties as assigned.'2 i.e. team building,REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY:

- Knowledge of computers and current computer software.
0 Knowledge in planning and developing programs to suit a variety of students.
0 Knowledge of career development issues.Ability to prepare required records and reports.Ability to relate and counsel Native American students for behavioral and academic problems.Ability to maintain documentation and case notes on all students.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, Community Officials
and the general public.

- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position; agree to maintain a Drug-free workplace.REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Associates degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Education or closely related
?eld and a minimum of two (2) years experience teaching in a classroom environment or teaching a computer
course. Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Education or closely
related field preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT:
Required to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance as a condition of employment and must continue
to maintain throughout the duration of employment. Background checks are required for positions that involve
regular contact with or control over Community Children in accordance with The Indian Child Protection and
Family Violence Prevention Act, 25 U.S.C. Sections 3201 through 3210 and C.F.R. Part 63 and positions that
