We have an exciting opportunity at CVS Health for an internal management consulting role in Northbrook, IL! The Senior Product Analytics and Surveillance Consultant is a part of our Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) Product Optimization and Surveillance Team. This team is engaged across all functions of our PBM Formulary and Product Operations, with particular emphasis on root cause analysis, solution ideation, design, and testing. You will have the opportunity to use your analytical skills and logic to analyze the business, solve problems, and present recommendations to Product owners in an effort to drive new operational initiatives, which will have a profound impact on the future direction of the company

In this role, you will partner closely with colleagues and the product owners to develop and/or translate strategies into measurable metrics and KPIs, you will design, construct, and execute complex analyses to meet business case requirements using data that will often be self-sourced through observations, tests, interviews, and custom data pulls. Youll also perform root cause investigation, problem solve, articulate conclusions, and make recommendations. You will engage cross-functionally across the organization to support design solutions, develop test and implementation plans, drive results, and resolve issues encountered by the team; including using your ability to assess and course-correct as necessary. Develop methodology to measure the impact of pilots and programs, including identifying data gaps and where additional information or partnership may be needed. Create and maintain reporting designed to monitor program and pilot performance leveraging both leading and lagging metrics. You will use your superior analytical skills and logic to provide data for materials and presentations needed for the business in a way that adds value. You help paint the picture & story with the insights identified so it is easily understood by others who may not have the same background or expertise, and improves the operational efficiency of the business.

The successful candidate will possess a proven track record of constructing and executing complex analyses to meet business case requirements. This will require someone with superior analytical skills, quantitative skills, logic, and problem solving skills, including the highest level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once.

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of high level analytical experience in an operational environment with experience in building complex business models using basic data mining tools like SQL and/or other self-service BI dashboard tools
- 2+ years of experience with spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software, including a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prescription Benefit Management (PBM) or healthcare experience
- Bachelor's Degree within a technical/ analytical field.
- Experience coding in statistical packages e.g., (SAS, R, or Python) with strong quantitative skills.
- Experience handling large data-sets (measured in hundreds of millions or billions of records or on a big-data platform) using data mining programs such as SQL to produce meaningful analytics insights
- Experience working with data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau)

Education
- Verifiable Bachelor's Degree
