$1,250 Hiring Bonus
General Description of Duties:
- Handle customer contacts by receiving inbound and placing outbound calls.
- Process wellness referrals, discuss wellness options, and register clients for referred classes or activities.
- Provide reminder calls for upcoming client events, record attendance, and conduct follow-up evaluations.
- Develop and maintain positive customer relations.
- Coordinate with various functions within the organization for handling wellness referrals.
- Explain benefits a person may be eligible for.
- Answer incoming calls from potential clients, identify benefit eligibility, and collect pertinent information.
- Perform outreach at various community sites to distribute information and explain eligible benefits.
Education and Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
- Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
- Minimum one-year customer service experience preferred.
- One-year recent experience with Microsoft applications required.
- Ability to generate and maintain Excel worksheets using formulas, links, and charts.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to questions professionally.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to customer issues.
- Effective communication in English with internal and external customers of Adelante.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret written procedures.
- Capability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms.
- Proficient in presenting information and responding to questions from customers, clients, supervisors, and co-workers.
Other Requirements:
- Must pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
- Must have reliable transportation and an agency insurable driving record.
- May need to work outside regular schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work in a busy, fast-paced, and sometimes noisy environment.
- Must be able to lift 10lbs, stand, walk, bend, stoop, and carry frequently.
- Must be able to climb 5 ft., reach above shoulder(s), balance, push/pull occasionally.
- Veterans will be given preference for this position
Job Type: On-Site Full time M-F 8am - 4pm
Pay From: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour DOE.
