How this role supports our mission:

The Continuous Improvement Manager is a key position and is responsible for process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across all departments with a concentration on retail. This position plays the leading role in fostering a culture of process improvements through the use of LEAN processing and Kaizen methodologies. The primary goals are to improve all operational aspects of donated goods processes to provide safer work environments and enhance profitability.

What we require from you:

Special requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Five or more years in a materials processing environment with supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Education, training or exposure to Kaizen and/or lean processing techniques or methodologies.

Identify, develop and deliver improvements on existing business processes, audits and reporting in donated goods using Kaizen and lean processing methodologies

Identify and develop and deliver new business processes, audits and reporting in donated goods using Kaizen and lean processing methodologies.

Elicit input from team members and other stake holders to incorporate into new/improved processes.

Provide input and recommendations for flow, layout, equipment and new processes on all new or existing projects, renovations, remodels, etc.

Utilize technology for reporting platforms.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure performance and success.

Schedule, assign and/or perform Kaizen, safety and loss prevention audits for all GISA locations.

Provide support for loss prevention incidents and investigations.

Direct Kaizen and lean management processes, meetings, events and paperwork.

Attend all relevant meetings for DGR including safety, loss prevention and Kaizen

Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision.

Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities and environments.

Ability to read, write, and speak English; follow written and verbal instruction.

Possess current AZ drivers license, and personal transportation with proof of auto insurance.
