Do you want to make a large impact in your next role? Join CVS Health Trade Relations team as Contract Operations Advisor. Here, you will work with the CVS Trade team and large sized pharmaceutical manufacturers on contracts for Rebates, Purchase Discounts, Services, Confidentiality and Settlements. These contracts must accurately reflect CVS Caremarks current business strategies and must have approval from all respective business units, in accordance with the Contract Review and Approval Process SOP and all current regulatory requirements.
You will also serve as an advisor to the Manager of Contract Operations, collaborating across the team to help implement and coordinate various team initiatives and projects.
This position will be located out of our offices in Northbrook, IL, Bloomington, MN or Irving, TX.
The main responsibility of this role involves managing all phases of our Manufacturer agreement process including:
-Collaborate with Trade Negotiators during contract negotiations with large and mid- size pharmaceutical manufacturers.
-Develop and lead the implementation of strategies for completing contract provisions / language related to all non-financial terms.
-Develop pharmaceutical manufacturer agreements for products, based upon the negotiated terms and conditions, in order to preserve the integrity of CVS Caremarks financial position and assets.
-Organize, attend, and moderate intent calls with key stakeholders across the organization to discuss contracts and amendments prior to review. Ensure that the intent surrounding the contract negotiation process is accurately reflected in the final document.
-Organize conference calls with manufacturer account representatives and/or legal counsel to finalize agreements/amendments.
-Customize and modify existing contract language
-Work with redlines and ensuring version control of assigned agreements.
-Track and maintain all stages of document process.
-Ensure timely contract execution.
-Review final documents and ensure all proper internal approvals are obtain prior to submitting for signature.
To be successful, you will utilize your ability to manage and organize projects from start to completion, your ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as your ability to work and communicate effectively with multiple internal and external partners. Your superb attention to detail and organizational skills will also be key to your success.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of contract experience required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior contracting experience in healthcare, with emphasis in contracting preferred.
- PBM business and operations experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Education
Bachelors Degree required, or equivalent work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
