Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Contract Review and Drafting: 

  • Review and draft a variety of contracts, including construction agreements, subcontractor agreements, vendor contracts, and other legal documents. 
  • Ensure contracts accurately reflect the terms and conditions agreed upon by all parties. 
  • Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies. 

Contract Management: 

  • Maintain a centralized contract repository and tracking system. 
  • Monitor contract compliance and performance throughout the project lifecycle. 
  • Identify and address any contract-related issues promptly. 

Negotiation: 

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to negotiate contract terms. 
  • Aim to achieve favorable terms while preserving positive relationships with partners and clients. 

Compliance and Risk Management: 

  • Stay current with industry regulations and legal requirements. 
  • Develop and implement contract compliance procedures. 
  • Assess and mitigate potential legal and financial risks associated with contracts. 

Customer/Subcontractor Relationships: 

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and subcontractors. 
  • Ensure that subcontractor agreements align with the main contract's terms and conditions. 

Dispute Resolution: 

  • Assist in resolving contract-related disputes through negotiation and mediation. 
  • Engage legal counsel when necessary for more complex matters. 

 

Minimum Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field (Master's or JD preferred) or relevant work experience. 
  • Five years’ experience in contract management, preferably in the construction industry. 
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts and legal terminology. 
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance. 
  • Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills. 

 

Pay Range:  

$70,000 - $80,000/year
