Position Summary

The College of Education and Human Sciences invites applicants for the Coordinator, Academics position. This staff position will support two academic departments of the College: the Department of Individual, Family, and Community Education and the Department of Teacher Education, Educational Leadership and Policy. This position will work in collaboration with departmental and college staff to plan and coordinate the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of two large, complex academic units. Duties include, but are not limited to program administration, internal and external outreach, student support and academic progress coordination, data collection and reporting, and support of course scheduling and other academic unit administrative support tasks.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of and experience with UNM academic and administrative systems.

Bachelors degree.

Experience in a higher education academic setting including knowledge of academic program operating principles and procedures.

Experience working with confidential information.

Manage and prioritize multiple deadlines.
