Job Description
The College of Integrative Sciences & Arts (CISA) is seeking a dynamic and passionate Student Experience and Engagement Coordinator to join our team. Under the guidance of the Associate Director of the Student Experience and Engagement team, the coordinator will play a key role in driving initiatives designed to enhance diversity, increase enrollment, and foster student success and retention.
In this position, you will be responsible for curating and executing admission-related experiences on campus in partnership with University Admission Services, ensuring prospective students have a seamless and welcoming introduction to CISA. You will also lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of a comprehensive student engagement plan focused on improving retention rates, promoting student leadership, and cultivating a strong sense of community and pride among students within the college, on campus, and beyond. CISA offers academic programs across multiple ASU locations, including Downtown Phoenix, Tempe, Polytechnic, and ASU Online, providing a diverse and collaborative environment for students and staff alike.
This position will require off campus travel and some weekend and/or evening hours to support events.

Essential Duties
Student Engagement:
- Serve as the lead for the CISA College residential community partnership model on the campuses where CISA students reside (currently Downtown, Polytechnic, and Tempe); serves as a liaison to housing.
- Event planning including college & university-wide engagement programs. Details include, but are not limited to, communication, room reservations, marketing, logistics, and food.
- Develop and schedule programming and events specific to various CISA populations in accordance with departmental objectives and funding limitations to support student retention and affinity.
- Connects students with academic and personal resources including, but not limited to, tutoring, counseling and career services; provide follow up to ensure satisfaction with and effectiveness of services.
- Utilize a variety of university data and programmatic direction to promote student academic success.
- Oversee the college’s student leadership program, the CISA Ambassadors.
- Work under limited or minimal supervision, address inquiries and problems, provide guidance and advice to students.
Recruitment:
- Presents with enthusiasm and confidence promoting at information sessions and ASU Sun Devil Days.
- High School presentation and Community College presentation as requested by Collaborating Partners.
- Conduct campus tours when needed.
- Serve as the primary college contact for community colleges and high schools.
- Utilize data, coordinate mail and call campaigns for prospective and admitted students and maintain recruitment and yield interactions using current Admission Services CRM-Salesforce.
- Presentation development branded and reviewed by CISA marketing team.
Administrative:
- Hire, train, and supervise student staff.
- Prepare budget proposals and recommendations and establish budget control system for controlling expenditures; recommend equipment and resources for programming and events.
- Interact and maintain working relationships with partners, stakeholders, and students in facilitating program objectives.
- Other duties and special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment AND three (3) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supervising student workers or student leaders.
- Experience working with residential college (living/learning) communities.
- Experience planning, coordinating, and marketing collaborative student engagement events: preference given to academically focused events to related undergraduate student and retention programs and events.
- Experience in maintaining attention to detail while prioritizing multiple tasks in a fast-paced, service-focused, team-based environment.
- Experience presenting to large groups.
- Experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
- Evidence of effective communication skills.
Working Environment
- Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting, keyboarding, and manipulating a computer mouse; required to stand for varying lengths of time and walk moderate distances to perform work.
- Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 25 pounds.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
- Ability to clearly communicate verbally, read, write, see and hear to perform essential functions.
- Regular use of standard office equipment including, but not limited to: computer workstation/laptop (keyboard, monitor, mouse), printer, copier, and associated computer/technology peripherals.
