Job Description

Coordinator Full Time $25/Hour

Allied Universal is looking to hire a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator (Special Programs). The GSOC Operator is responsible for assisting company personnel in all concerns that pertain to safety and security for corporate locations around the globe. The individual will work in a virtual/GSOC environment, with a primary focus on managing highly confidential information. The Operator will use a variety of tools that range from internal tracking systems to various web-based programs to support the clients information management and response protocols. The Operator is required to detect, analyze, and alert others of any incidents which may impact the clients employees, products, property, or brand image. The operator will action any additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Task Force supervisor.

Coordinator (Special Programs)

Department: Amazon Corporate Security

Location: Seattle, Washington

Employment Type: Full Time

The Coordinator (Special Programs) will support Amazon Corporate Securitys GSOC, with specialization in COVID response work. This is a full-time contracted position that is located in the South Lake Union district of Seattle.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures the timeliness, consistency, and accuracy of all information for data entry and report distribution.
  • Utilizes multiple databases concurrently to manage collection of confidential data.
  • Multi-tasks to prioritize completion of an evolving set of tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Liaises collaboratively with internal stakeholders for the purpose of data collection and coordination.
  • Escalates high-priority or high-visibility issues, tasks, or concerns appropriately up the management chain for action.
  • Assists company employees in all concerns that pertain to safety and security.
  • Conducts ongoing review of multiple systems and sources to detect potential risks and vulnerabilities to the systems and the information they house.

Additional Job Functions:

  • Notifies and coordinates corporate response by distribution of advisories and other communications.
  • Compiles daily reports and incident reports.
  • Performs other related duties and special projects as required.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least 18 years of age
  • As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and pre-employment drug screening
  • Strong Customer Service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English
  • Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Comfortable with high-tech work environment, and constant learning of new tools and innovations
  • Willingness to assist the team with overtime when needed
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or 2+ years of equivalent work experience in military, government, corporate security, high-volume call centers, high-volume customer service centers, and/or entry- to mid-level administrative work.
  • International Affairs/Relations/Business, Emergency Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice or related disciplines
  • Experience with technology systems managing a significant volume of data or actions, such as security systems and/or technology supporting fast turnaround of customer service requests.
