Job Description

The Copywriter II position is responsible for producing engaging, clear text for different advertising channels such as websites, print ads, and catalogs. This individuals job duties include researching keywords, producing interesting written content, and proofreading materials for accuracy and quality.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Write clear and error-free content that reflects the companys voice.
  • Meet with clients to understand their message, brand voice, and target audience.
  • Propose copy concepts in an engaging way for clients and execute projects once they are approved.
  • Interpret creative direction and technical information and turn them into persuasive copy concepts.
  • Collaborate with PR and marketing departments to brainstorm and develop a variety of marketing materials.
  • Work with clients to edit and modify copy to meet their content expectations.
  • Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in communications, advertising, marketing, English or other related field.
Experience: 2-5 years professional experience producing and proofreading copy for print and digital media channels.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.).
