Job Description
Education requirements
Master's degree in Psychology preferred. Certification or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). State of Arizona.
Experience requirements
Must have two years supervisory experience.
Qualifications
Must have three years of sobriety & an abstainer from all forms of drugs, including alcohol. Must have reliable transportation, valid Arizona driver’s license and Insurance coverage. Must be able to travel to out of town meetings, workshops and training seminars. Must be willing to continue education for improvement in program. Must establish & maintain effective working relationships with clients as well as other staff and the public. Successful candidates will be subject to pre-employment and on-going random drug/alcohol testing. Must submit to a fingerprint background check through the BIA. Testing may be required.
Responsibilities
Supervises all COVID-19 Project Staff, including temporary assigned personnel. Plans, implements & evaluates COVID-19 Programing data and submits the necessary reports as required by SAMSHA & Tribal Administration. Orientate & assesses training needs & arranges for in-service training to staff on a regularly scheduled basis to cover crisis counseling and intervention techniques, etc. Evaluates job performances of the staff on bi-annual time frame, during probationary periods and as needed. Coordinates staff training with other agencies and within SAMSHA time frames. Participates in Tribal Community activities. Assists with and approves all staff work schedules as well as all supportive counseling activities. Develops, reviews, modifies as needed, all budgets that pertains to the COVID-19 Project. Researches, prepares & submits program proposals for funding to the ADAPP Director and Tribal Administrator. Identifies and utilizes available training & technical assistance resources. Organizes and meets with a COVID-19 Program Advisory Board on a monthly basis, sitting as a nonvoting member. Facilitates community awareness of COVID-19 Project by providing educational programs and publicity. Works with other Tribal Departments to collaborate on projects and keep open communication. Approves all necessary documents/requests related to payroll and travel, i.e. Requisitions & check requests etc... Recommends all hires/terminations of employees to the Tribal Administrator, also disciplinary actions or awards. Interviews prospective clients, develops individual treatment plans, as needed. Reviews client files to maintain quality assurance. Assists in planning weekly group sessions, implements weekly educational sessions and counsel individually. Counsel out-patient clients individually and conducts home visits. Determines program needs for additional staff and for additional material and supplies. Works cooperatively with other departments & supportive resource agencies. Attends all staff meetings, planning meetings, professional meetings and workshops. Increases professional knowledge through self-study. Obtains & maintains certification as a Behavioral Health Technician, State of Arizona. Other duties may be assigned
Skills
Knowledge of tribal community & local resources. Possess communication skills in writing, speaking and group interaction, as well as the ability to communicate with clients on a one-on-one basis.
Work hours
40, MONDAY TO FRIDAY 8AM-5PM
