Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 Provide mobile crisis intervention techniques during traumatic events. Respond to crisis calls from

Police/Fire/EMS and assess the family’s needs and facilitate appropriate resources. Coordinates between

emergency personnel, hospital staff and family members as needed.

 Provide follow-up to Community Members and visitors as needed and encouraging the use of Community

resources. This may involve one interaction or several dependent on the original nature of the event, or action

that placed them into the CR Service.

 Operate a 15-passenger Crisis Response Van, associated radio and mobile communications equipment and

computer. Maintain vehicle and equipment by performing daily vehicle checks/inspections to include vehicle

fluids, cleaning van inside and out and ensuring it is properly cleaned, stocked and equipped with resources

(water, ice, snacks, emergency clothing, boxes, printed materials, etc.).

 Responsible for completing incident reports and maintaining appropriate records and confidentiality for the

Records Management System (RMS).

 Responsible for Monitoring/Guiding Volunteers and Student Interns with job performance and written

materials. Co-facilitate trainings for volunteers as needed.

 Attend public and community events and assist with providing information and brochures regarding the

Communities’ CRT Program (Public Education). On-going training and certification process for self and

volunteer on-going education.
