Custodian - Floating - Santa Fe

$1,250 Hiring Bonus

General Description of Duties:

• Provides custodial coverage for various contracts as needed.
• Performs vacuuming, trash removal, sweeping/mopping floors, dusting, restroom cleaning, carpet cleaning, hard floor maintenance, general grounds maintenance, and window cleaning.
• Executes striping, waxing, buffing, dust mopping, damp mopping of floors, and carpet care as scheduled.
• Cleans buildings including offices, hallways, meeting rooms, and classrooms.
• Assists in maintenance of floor care equipment as needed.
• Cleans, sanitizes, and restocks restrooms; delivers supplies and materials as needed.
• Assists in setup and removal of materials and equipment for special events; moves furniture and equipment; removes trash from buildings; secures buildings as needed.
• Assists in training personnel as required.
• Participates in ISP process, team meetings, prepares associated written documentation (i.e., written narratives, time-study data, and reports, etc.) as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Floor care experience preferred.
• Two years custodial work experience preferred.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English with internal and external customers of Adelante.
• Ability to read and write English to understand and interpret written procedures.
• Capability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms.
• Proficiency in presenting information and responding to questions from clients, supervisors, and co-workers.

Other Requirements:

• Must pass TB test, background check, and drug screen.
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid NM drivers license, and an Agency insurable driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and quality required.
• Must be able to remain on feet for approximately 90% of the workday.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently.
• Must be able to operate equipment continuously for several hours at a time.
• Must be able to climb ladders for cleaning purposes.
• May be required to pass suitability check by the Government Protective Services and obtain a security clearance.

Job Type: Full Time; Shift is 7:00am to 4:00pm, but will vary. Some evening shifts 4:30pm to midnight may be required.

Pay: From $15.10 per hour
